Additional Video Features: Pop-up Top Sleeps Four Folding Table Sink / Cool Box Cupboards Electric Hookup Additional Information - Portland does not use salt on the roads so there is virtually no rust on the body or frame Full Maintenance Information is Listed in Photos Below Seller’s Note – With declining use of the bus, the owner prioritized spending on keeping it mechanically in top shape. Wear and tear defects over the last 47 years have been tolerated. Because I believe in total transparency, I am listing every issue that I am aware of: 1. Radio is not currently working. I suspect it is a wiring issue. 2. The roll-up door is broken and is stuck in the open position. 3. The carpet is worn and stained. 4. A couple of tears in rear upholstery—one large one small. 5. The windshield has some discoloration at the edges. 6. One of the four roof hold-downs is disconnected. Easily re-attached. 7. The front panel to the under-seat storage has become detached from the floor hinges. I don’t use it so it was never repaired. 8. The sink/cooler unit is not screwed into place and the water and drain are disconnected. We do not use it, preferring to cook and clean up on a picnic table. 9. The heater is working normally but with older VW buses they are notoriously poor. Heater vent controls are always stiff. 10. The gas mileage is about 14/15 mpg. 11. The water tank cap is missing. 12. Two breaks in the faux-wood laminate interior 13. Plastic screw covers missing on passenger door handle. Explanation Of the Reconstructed Title It has a reconstructed Oregon title. Not from any collision, but in 1991 a tree leaned over in an ice storm from all the weight and settled on the bus, putting a dent in the roof, and several small holes in the fiberglass top. State Farm could not find a replacement roof, so they totaled it. I bought it back and had a local body shop repair the holes and respray. The dent remains but is not visible except when the top is up.
