1969 Jaguar XKE Fixed Head Coupe is for sale in Bedford Village, NY 10506 This 1969 Jaguar XKE is powered by a 4.2L 6 Cylinder Engine, Paired with a Manual Transmission with 74,448 Original Miles. Proudly Shown with Willow Green Exterior Paint with Brown Interior. Equipped with its factory original matching numbers silky smooth dual overhead cam in-line six cylinder 4.2L engine and its factory 4 speed manual transmission. I would consider this to be a survivor quality example of one of the most sought after iconic sports cars. The Jaguar Heritage Certificate indicates that this Fixed Head Coupe was built in June of 1969 and then imported to the United States, sold new in New York and then subsequently lived most of its early life in Refugio, Texas. The last year of registration was 1980 as indicated by the window sticker still in place. From Texas the car fell into the hands of a respected collector from Asbury Park, NJ for over 20 years. He seldom used the E-Type as his collection was enormous. Several years ago I secured its purchase and have lovingly and respectfully brought this classic to its current condition. The E-Type was entrusted to Ed Miller of Stormville NY where he was given liberties to bring the car to its current cosmetic and mechanical condition. I have receipts amounting to about 15,000 dollars, all done in the past 9 months. A compression check was done on the engine and the perfect results were recorded by Mr. Miller. This is an example of a survivor quality automobile. The engine bay represents what a properly maintained original mechanical E-Type should look like. The rotisserie restoration crowd frequently looks for engine compartments such as this so that after they disassemble a car they can see what it was originally supposed to look like!! The Willow Green paint is mostly original and there is no evidence of any trauma to the body panels. This is one of the most desirable colour combinations. Rust is not a consideration. Its Cinnamon Connolly leather is totally original. Wilton carpeting as well. It enjoys its original Philips push button AM/FM transistor stereo radio. The brightwork is all from new and shows well despite its 53 year age. The 5 original wire wheels are wrapped with a set of 5 matching tires. Also new is its Lucas 12V Battery with factory terminals and a completely refurbished charging system. Just Choke the dual carbs, pump it once and fire up this magnificent British world class sports car. The tenor of the exhaust is exactly what you remember from the golden era of the 60s! All the gauges and interior lights work. Fill it up with high octane and drive it home. The Fixed Head Coupe provides the tightest ride of all three models.
